Welcome to Meadowgreen Dog Rescue Centre
Meadowgreen has been established for over 30 years and since July 2004 has been under new ownership. We are a family run, privately owned non-charity funded centre. Each year we rehome over 100 dogs. We have 42 kennels and are full most of the time.
We have rescue dogs in all shapes, sizes and ages. Most of our dogs will make ideal family pets.
Home Check – If you are thinking of offering a rescue dog a home you will be required to have a home check done for suitability. During the Pandemic these may be done remotely using various alternative methods . Certain breeds require owners that already have experience of that breed. It is our policy that dogs cannot be rehomed to families with children under five, as it must be remembered that the vast majority of our dogs are rescued and therefore, we have little or no history on them. All our dogs receive professional veterinary treatment when required and are .Vet checked, fully vaccinated, microchipped, neutered (where applicable) up to date with flea and worm treatment and will be insured with Petplan for the initial 4 weeks,
All visits are by appointment only. These will be booked between 1pm and 3pm Tuesday to Saturday. We are closed on Mondays (including Bank Holidays) and use Sundays for donations to be delivered.
We are easy to find just off the A146 Norwich to Lowestoft road, approximately two miles after Loddon (heading to Lowestoft) take the right turn into Wash Lane and we are signposted from there. Please do not rely on finding us using your Sat Nav based on our postcode as this will take you down the wrong road.
